Pollack's middle name was Irwin. Halpern also misidentifies him as "Sidney J. Pollack" in the back pages of the book "Truth in Comedy." Maybe she met Sidney J. Furie, the director of "Iron Eagle" and "Superman IV," many years ago but never figured out there was a difference.
