Time for some collaboration

Last year, the Kansas City Improv Festival spawned many groups, and challenged many local groups to try different formats. We want to know how this years festival changed the face of improv in Kansas City.

All good things must come to an end

It was the culmination of many volunteers putting in many hours of work. In return, they got to be a part of a very successful improv festival. Congratulations to the improv community in Kansas City for putting on a great show. We want to give you a very heartfelt thank you.

The after-parties and the workshops were well attended and there were many great photos. But we just have to share a very special one.

Last year we had an after party at Bar Natasha. Some of you may know that this year Bar Natasha is closing in only 2 short weeks. Well, the festival helped send the bar out in style with a lovely duet:

****Line-ups have been announced for the local weekend, but first, a recap:

Last year, standing-room-only crowds watched as Saturday Night Live standout Jason Sudeikis, Emmy Award-winning 30 Rock writer Kay Cannon and comedians from Chicago, LA and NYC improvised their way through a hilarious weekend of shows.

This fall, KCiF returns to the H&R Block City Stage with nationally acclaimed acts and local favorites.

Festival Fundraiser #1: Kickball

DON’T MISS The First Annual KC Improv Kickball Extravaganza

(And win a prize for giving it a better name.)

It's way more fun than it was in elementary school. Here's what you do:
1. Get a team together. (Minimum 8 people.)
2. Give yourselves a cool name.
3. We'll draw match-ups and play Sunday, May 18, from 1-4pm at Gillham Park.
4. And (because we're not in elementary school anymore), there will be a post-game keg party.

$10 per person gets you:
• A spot on a team!
• An invite to the party!
• A chance to win prizes for stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with athletic ability!

Families, friends, coworkers and groupies welcome. Must be 18 years old to play—21 to come to the party.
